• The requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act are to be met as a minimum and preferably exceeded.
• A policy of “Zero tolerance” will be applied to all deviations from safety rules and safe work procedures.
• Ongoing health and safety training programmes are to be implemented involving all employees.
• Risky operations and working circumstances are to be made as safe as is reasonably practicable.
• Risk elimination where practical is preferred to risk management, including the use of PPE.
• The correct personal protective equipment will be issued to employees and the use thereof will be enforced.
• Each and every employee is responsible for general health and safety in the workplace and as such open and frank discussions regarding health and safety issues are routinely held.
• An effective occupation health and safety management program is run in excess of the legal requirements and those of our clients.
